We are helping you get started on Holiday Knitting! See below for great decorations or gift ideas 

**We are changing our registration policy, in order to take part in a class you must register at least 3 days in advance. We will not accept any registrations later than that.**

 
If you are interested in Learn to Knit Classes- we are now doing them by private lessons, call to schedule your time. $20/hour.

Felted Mitten "Stocking" Part 1 of 2- Make this giant fair isle mitten that can be used as a stocking. There is a simple fair isle band and it is knit with 2 strands of a worsted weight held together.
The second class is 7/20, and you will be felting your mitten here at the store.

Jamaica Pouch Part 1 of 2- Knit this cute bag. The single pattern is available for free from this website or you can take a look at the book we have here at the store (One Skein Wonders). The best part is it only uses one skein of Jamaica!

During the first class we will get started on making the bottom of the bag. The second class is 7/29 and we will be starting the lacy pattern.

Afghan Competition- Come and see how fast a knitter you are and get a lot or all of an afghan done! Here's how it works: Pick an afghan out of the Done by Monday Afghan booklet and your bulky yarn to make it.

You can make a gauge swatch before hand but no casting on until 11am this morning, you will have until 11pm to knit and we'll see who is the farthest along. There will be set breaks for lunch and dinner, so make sure you bring something to eat!

Juliet Part 1 of 2- Come and knit this great top down short-sleeved sweater. This would be great over a tank top in the summer or a long sleeved top in the summer. The top is knit in garter stitch and the bottom is a simple lace pattern. The 2nd class meets on Sunday June 22.

Scarf for the Troops- Come and knit a scarf that can then be sent to the troops for next winter. Not only will you be supporting the troops you'll also learn the woven stitch!

Learn to Knit Socks Part 1 of 2- Learn how to knit socks from the cuff down.  You'll need to have the cuff knitted by this class so we can start with turing the heel. If you've never used double points before stop by the store and we'll help get you started. The 2nd class is Saturday July 12th.

1.    Any yarn being held by SWS cannot go in sale bag
2.    You may use a maximum of 2 bags during sale.
3.    These must be your own bags!
4.    All yarn is included in the bag sale, both sale and non sale yarn
5.    Yarn only, NOT patterns, Books, Tote bags, spinning supplies or needles.
6.    SWS has the final say on any bag you are using. (The measurements must be close to the ones stated on the pattern.)
