New Arrivals

Alright lots of new yarns have arrived, but since I just sent out an email, I'm writing about them here so as not to bombard your inbox with emails.  This post is going to contain a lot of sock yarns!Laughing

Maizy- Is a new fingering weight sock yarn from Crystal Palace. That contains 82% Corn Fiber and 18% elastic nylon.  It has a nice feel to it- really soft and the colors are pretty.

Panda Wool- another fingering weight sock yarn from Crystal Palace. We have had this but we were running low so new colors have arrived

Alpaca Sox- is a fingering weight sock yarn from Classic Elite Yarns. We have it in both variegated and solid colors. Since it contains 20% Alpaca, 20% merino and 20% nylon it is incredibly soft and the colors are gorgeous.

A new shipment of Lorna's Laces has also just arrived. From that we received Shepherd's Sock (fingering weight sock yarn), Shepherd's sport (sport weight sock yarn) and Helen's Lace (it comes with a free shawl pattern on the label). Since it comes from Lorna's you know all the colors are beautiful. I think Heather and I may be arguing over the sock yarn later.Innocent

Also in are two new books:

Knitting Classic Style by Veronik Avery- I have always liked her designs and this book is no different. It has some wonderful patterns in it, so stop by and check it out!

Debbie Bliss Essential Baby- contains some classic patterns that as the front cover says "...will take your baby from first days to first steps". Debbie Bliss is another one of those designers that you know you can depend on to make beautiful designs.

We have also gotten more or the Wonderful Wallaby pattern back in....we just can't keep that one in the store!

Also more Denise needle sets are on their way!

***Just a heads up- we should be able to have the class schedule up with in the next day or two. We just need to finalize a few details.***

Also we are going to be doing an overnight here at the store. It will start on Saturday December 1st at 7:30pm and will end on Sunday December 2nd at 10am.

Save this Date- Saturday November 10th from 11-4pm there will be a Fiber Fest here at the store. Local Fiber artists will bring their wares so you will have an opportunity to purchase them, could be some great gifts for the holidays! There will also be a Spinning Demo (Heather is going to be bringing in one of her bunnies too.) Laurie's Laine Bag rep, will also be here so you can custom make your bag; by choosing the fabric and style. There will also be baskets here, which can make great gifts too!

During the fiber fest we are going to be raffling off some of the sample items, the money made from this will be donated to the Food Bank of Delaware and please bring a can or two of food with you to donate to the food bank- it'll be getting close to Thanksgiving by then.

Also we just got some beautiful hand-dyed yarn from a local fiber artist, Erin. At the moment, we only have her DK weight yarn (its great for socks) and there are some gorgeous colors, so come check it out before it sells out! Her yarn is sold under the name Het Schaapje (Dutch for Little Sheep). You can also check out her online store
