Hello,

    We've gotten in some new gorgeous yarns from Skacel. Cambio is an aran weight yarn containing 50% alpaca and 50% merino and comes in natural colors. Adagio has a sheen to it and is made of 70% baby llama and 30% silk and feels wonderful. It is a DK weight. Urban Silk is 80% silk 20% cotton and has neat texture/look since the cotton and silk are spun around each other. It knits to a aran weight gauge. Hope is a 100% cotton DK yarn. The cool thing about this yarn is the fact that the yarn is completely made in the USA, from the cotton growing to the spinning. The company has also agreed to donate 5% of sales to a US charity that the yarn stores get to vote on, which I think is just a neat idea. Now you have another excuse to buy yarn, because its helping someone else!

   First and very, very exciting is the fact that one of our customers (and friend) has won the Cherry Tree Hill contest!!!! Bev Roberts' design was made with Supersock Yarn and was entirely designed and knit by Bev Roberts!!! Bev was kind enough to bring in her winning entry to share with us before she shipped it to Cheryl Potter- the owner of Cherry Tree Hill yarns.  Everyone that was here the day Bev brought it in knew she was going to win-it was that gorgeous! We are having a sale!  We still have too much yarn!  Now the sale yarn is buy 1 get one free.  The sale starts Thursday June 28th and ends Sunday July 1st.  It works in the usual way you buy the more expensive sale yarn and get the lower priced sale yarn free.  Our sale books continue to be 60% off and we've added some tote bags at 50% off. The Philosopher's Wool kits are now 30% off.  There may be more goodies added as we look around the store. 

 Last but not least we've gotten new things into the store.  Soxsticks from Lantern Moon are 5" rosewood dp needles that come in a nice little bag. We got in some beautiful,wooden hairpicks that can be used as shawl pins.
Lots of new patterns from Lisa knits just arrived as have new ones from Sarah James. Also a gorgeous cabled cardigan made out of Shire Silk.

    We've gotten in some hand painted Cascade 220 that is beautiful and would look gorgeous in both felting projects and garments.

Also a new Jo Sharp yarn has arrived, Alpaca Silk Georgette. It feels wonderful!

We have also gotten in new colors of Encore DK and replenished some of the older colors.

New colors of Jeanne are also in, I want to make something out of this yarn because it just feels so soft but I think I should wait until I finish another project.
 

Alright, we are going to try having a blog for the store, where we can talk about all the different projects people are working on, classes and hopefully post pictures of finished projects that both the customers and employees have made.
